Automatic machine for Offset printing in up to 6 colors + lacquering ( wet on wet ) on the outside surface of aluminum closures.
Consists of following main components
- Automatic feeding system including the infeed chute where the closures arrive already oriented + proper vacuum pocket placed at the bottom of the chute + pusher that transfers the closures onto the mandrels of the 8 positions dial . The pusher is mechanically synchronized with the dial. All the components are equipped with necessary detection device to guarantee a correct functioning and to avoid any damage in case of jam – Dial is driven by heavy duty indexer specifically designed to guarantee a NO VIBRATION operation at any speed. Every mandrel is equipped with vacuum inside for proper holding of the closures during transportation along the dial. Vacuum is generated by a specific pump + hoses + manifold – Mandrels are driven by a flat belt system. This guarantees all mandrels start to spin before arriving in the coating station and continue to spin for a while even after the coating station. This is extremely important to avoid defects on the surface of the coated closure . Belt is driven by separate motor controlled by INVERTER . This ensures the possibility to adjust the speed of the mandrel to obtain the best coat result on the surface of the closures – No-closure / No –print device. Automatically retracts the coating unit from the mandrel if mandrel is empty – Printing unit composed of up to 6 colorheads. 5 Colrheads are equipped with two inking rollers for a constant and uniform transfer of ink onto the plate + blanket and then onto the surface of the closure. This ensure a very good ink coverage. 6th colorhaed is equipped with single large diameter inking roller. 3 oscillating rollers for perfect grinding of ink layer. All rollers are equipped with micro adjustments for distance and parallelism to obtain the required ink thickness. Water cooling connection in the fountain roller for temperature control even at higher speed. Ink agitator into the fountain. Quick mounting system for plates onto plates cylinders. Offset cylinder is equipped with four blankets positions. The printing unit is driven by separate motor controlled by INVERTER. The handling part of the machine ( indexer) is also driven by separate motor controlled by INVERTER. The two motors are electronically synchronized during machine production. – Laquering unit ( 3 rollers system) is placed after printing . It is driven by separate motor . Mandrel is also driven by separate motor and the speed can be adjusted independently in such a way to obtain the best lacquering result on the surface of the closure provide the proper lacquer is used. Lacquer is continuosly fed to lacquer tray if connected to specific pump. – Unloading device mechanically synchronized with the dial. Two closures at a time are unloaded from the mandrels by vacuum cups and then transferred to the pegs of the oven pinchain. Detection to control the proper transfer of the closures from vacuum cups to pinchain – Lost motion device for the pinchain during transfer of closures. It consists of sprockets and drive mechanically connected to the coating machine. Separate auxiliary drive for the chain when the coating machine is topped for cleaning or short maintenances. This prevents the closures to remain into the heat chamber of the oven for a time longer than needed
